The guy in the ball cap is writer/director/actor and original BIFF Jean Ribaut Award winner, Gary Weeks. What he's doing is rescuing a bunch of Riverview Middle Schoolers from a dreary day of shadowing the Lowcountry Weekly staff (blogging away here). Some of the kids are aspiring filmmakers and this is the absolute essence of what makes the Beaufort Int'l Film Fest so unique - the ability to interact with the filmmakers.
So instead of listening to us blather about our blogs, they got to pick a real filmmaker's very fertile brain. They also sat down to interview Director Angela Alford about her documentary "Grannies Got Came."
BIFF runs through Saturday at the USCB Center for the Arts.
