We’re having a blast here at the USCB Center for the Arts, where the Beaufort International Film Festival is off to an incredible start! We had four 7th graders from Riverview shadowing us this morning for Career Day, and I think they had fun, too! They got to interview Angela Alford (director of “Granny’s Got Game), meet BIFF veteran and triple threat (actor, director, screenwriter) Gary Weeks, see two great short films, and try out the BIFF popcorn (two thumbs up!). As for us, we just interviewed VW Scheich, director of “Wallenda,” a beautiful short film that freaked Jeff out (he has a “heights thing”) and made me cry. Look for that video interview – and a whole lot more – right here on our website.
Amazing. It’s Thursday – midday – and the auditorium here is packed. The energy in the lobby – which you gotta see to believe! – is off the charts. Y’all come on down…. We'll be here through Saturday!
